Ecommerce website on the WooCommerce platform

An ecommerce website starts from the product catalog and the payment methods, and only then from how the homepage looks. We build on WooCommerce, because without workarounds it carries what real stores need: card payments and cash on delivery, delivery to parcel lockers and courier services, catalog import at any size. We hand the store over with products loaded, payments tested and sales tracking in place, not as an empty theme install.

What does ecommerce website development include?

Ecommerce website development covers the WooCommerce store setup, catalog import with variations and stock, card payments and cash on delivery wired in, delivery through courier services and parcel lockers, and the required legal pages. Basic sales tracking is included too, so from day one you see which product gets viewed and which one gets bought. We hand the store over filled and tested, not as an empty theme install.

Store design that converts

How much does an ecommerce website cost?

An ecommerce website with a catalog of up to 20 products costs $1,337, and each product beyond that is $67. Card payments add $667. Annual maintenance is a separate line and costs $1,597. Migration from another platform and integrations with external systems such as an ERP go in the proposal as a separate line.

We quote only after we see the number of products, because an estimate without that is worth nothing. Your exact package and final price are set in a written proposal within 24 hours.

Twenty products are included, each additional product is $67. Card payments add $667. Annual maintenance of $1,597 is optional and billed separately.

How long does it take to build an online store?

Building an online store for a standard store takes 14 days, counted from the approved design. The timeline mostly depends on who prepares the catalog: if you have product descriptions and photos ready, the technical part is the shortest part of the job. If we build the catalog from scratch, content preparation takes longer than the build itself. The exact deadline is in the proposal and part of the contract, we do not give blanket deadlines before we see the catalog.

How does the store connect to parcel lockers and cash on delivery?

Parcel lockers and cash on delivery are not a default part of a WooCommerce install, they are wired in through an integration with a specific courier service. At checkout the buyer picks a locker from the map, the store sends the order to the courier, and the delivery status comes back into the order. Cash on delivery is set so it stays an option only where it makes sense, by cart value and location. We built this integration on a live store, this is not theory.

// Questions

What do clients ask most before building a store?

Before signing, three questions come up most: whether they can add products themselves after handover, what happens to an existing store on another platform, and whether product descriptions and photos are part of the job. The answers, in order: you can, migration is done separately, and material is contracted separately. Each of those is expanded below, along with languages, currencies and what comes after the store is handed over.

Can I add products myself after handover?

+

Yes. We hand the store over with administrator access and a short training session on your real catalog, not on demo data. Adding products, changing prices, tracking orders and exporting reports are done from the standard WooCommerce panel, without us in the middle and without extra charges.

What if I already have a store on another platform?

+

Migration is possible and done separately from the build. Products, categories, customers and order history move over, and old product URLs are redirected to the new ones with 301 redirects, so existing positions survive. Before migration we ask for a catalog export, because without it estimating the scope is not possible.

Does building a web shop include product texts and photos?

+

Not by default. Building a web shop covers the technical part and the structure, while product descriptions and photos are a separate job contracted separately. If you already have the material, we use it. If not, it is the biggest item in the timeline, so it is better to put it in the proposal at the start than to have it stall the handover.

Can the store run in two languages and two currencies?

+

It can. Multiple languages and currencies are set during the build, because adding them later means reworking URLs and categories. For a domestic market it is usually not needed, and for selling abroad it is. We will tell you which of the two cases is yours before you pay for an add-on you do not need.

What happens after the store is handed over?

+

The store stays yours, with all data and access. Maintenance is a separate annual line and covers updates, security patches and backups. It is not mandatory, but a store that takes payments and holds customer data should not sit without updates. Maintenance costs $1,597 per year.
