LMS and course website development with lessons, quizzes and certificates

LMS development solves one concrete problem: the off the shelf platform charges per seat and still cannot do the one thing your course needs. We build the learning platform itself, where students enroll, watch lessons, pass quizzes and earn certificates, and where you change a lesson without filing a support ticket. The code, the course content and the student list are yours, on your own domain, with no per seat fee.

// What you get

What does an LMS development company actually do?

An LMS development company builds the learning platform itself, not a course inside someone else's product. Students see a course list, lessons, quizzes and a progress bar that follows the rules you set. Instructors see quiz results and completion rates, and can change a lesson without a support ticket. Access, roles and enrollment are defined once and enforced by the platform. Unlike a hosted tool, there is no per seat fee and the student list stays with you. It pays off for course creators, academies, coaching businesses and anyone who sells knowledge instead of a physical product.

// Pricing

How much does custom LMS development cost?

Custom LMS development is quoted per project, not as a monthly subscription: the price is $1,337 and covers design, courses, lessons, quizzes, payments, certificates and instructor training. That price includes 20 pages, and each additional page is $67. There is no per seat fee, no matter how many students enroll. Annual maintenance and hosting are $1,597 and are billed separately.

The quote is fixed: the number in the quote is the number you pay, with no hourly billing and no surprises later. We agree the exact scope and final price in writing before work starts.

Prices are in US dollars (USD). The price includes 20 pages, each additional page is $67. Annual maintenance and hosting are $1,597 and are billed separately.

// Process

How long does LMS development take?

With the course structure decided and content ready, a first usable version ships in 72 hours, counting from the day we get your lessons, the quiz rules and the way you want to sell access. The first part of the work goes on design and confirming the learning flow, the rest on the build, connecting payments and testing. If you need SCORM or xAPI content, subscriptions or multiple pricing models, the timeline extends, and we say so before you sign, not during the work.

Day 1

Quote

You send the course list and how you want to sell access, on a short call we walk the learning flow, then you get a fixed price and timeline.

Days 1 to 2

Design and flow

Training and launch

We schedule instructor training before the platform goes live, so the first real enrollments do not catch you unprepared.

What have we built so far?

A few projects still in production show how we work across content, speed and multilingual structure. Transfer Gaja is a VIP transfer service where we handle the build, SEO and content. Jasmin Adventures is a tour operator where the job was speed, measured through Core Web Vitals. Srpske novine is a news portal in seven languages with a PWA and push notifications. Each one runs on WordPress, and the same people who built them would build yours.

// Questions

What do clients ask most before custom LMS development?

Before signing, almost the same questions come up: who owns the platform, can students pay on it, are certificates and SCORM supported, can existing courses be migrated, and whether a custom build is even worth it. Each question is answered below, in plain language and without fine print.

Who owns the platform?

+

You do. The code, the database, the course content and the student list are yours. You pay for the build once and annual maintenance with hosting. A hosted tool charges per seat and keeps your student list on its own terms, here that cost does not exist and no one else's brand sits in your certificates.

Can students pay on the platform?

+

Yes, and that is usually the point of leaving a hosted tool. One time purchases, subscriptions, bundles and coupons are all supported, with access tied to payment state, so an unpaid student does not reach the lessons. Payments run through Stripe or PayPal on your own account, with no percentage taken per student.

Do you support SCORM, xAPI and certificates?

+

Certificates, yes, including automatic issue on completion and a verifiable record. SCORM and xAPI content can be supported when your courses need it, and since that adds to the build we say so up front. You write the completion rules and passing marks, we build them in.

Can you migrate my existing courses?

+

Usually yes, and the honest answer depends on what each platform lets you export. First we look at what exists, then we say whether courses move over cleanly or need rebuilding. If it is cheaper to move than to rebuild, that is what we tell you.

Do I actually need a custom LMS?

+

Ask what breaks today. If your platform costs more every time you enroll a student, blocks a pricing model you want to sell, hides data you need, or cannot run a workflow your business already runs, a custom build pays for itself. If it is mostly courses, lessons, quizzes and checkout, WordPress is often enough, and we will say so.
